Networked ​Quantum Information Technologies (NQIT)

Aspen Electronics is proud to be one of the few companies selected to be an approved NQIT Partner.  Aspen is the smallest company, amongst, by contrast, some of the world's largest, demonstrating our capability in this area.

Our involvement in NQIT initially came about following a request from Oxford University's 'Optical Quantum Technologies Group', who asked us to help them with selection of a range of Microwave Components required for optical experimentation. In completing the task we not only specified and selected the required components, but designed and built the high power microwave phase locked source the group needed. Further sources were developed and manufactured by the team at Aspen utilising our knowledge of microwave technology.

These are examples of microwave sources we have built. They are phase locked, with adjustable phase and amplitude, and feature amplified outputs suitable for driving optical modulators.
