Alaris Antennas, previously Poynting Defence and Specialised, started as a small consultancy at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg South Africa, offering antenna and radio frequency (RF) design consulting and antenna placement studies.
Specialising in antenna solutions, Alaris have specific expertise in Direction Finding (DF), Monitoring, Jamming, Counter-RCIED and Communication applications, Log Periodic Dipole Arrays (LPDA), Masts and supporting RF Electronics.
The company quickly grew into an organisation that designs, develops and manufactures its own world-class custom antenna solutions. Alaris offers full in-house design capability with a diverse engineering team of highly skilled mechanical and electrical engineers. Their design portfolio includes:

Apart from research and development, Alaris Antennas does all final assembly, testing and quality assurance in-house. The company received ISO 9001:2015 certification and sets quality as one of our most important drivers. Our products are designed to meet harsh environmental specifications with in-house testing facilities for water ingress, temperature, salt spray and vibration. Electrical tests are also carried out on-site using a semi-anechoic chamber. In addition, through strategic partnerships, they can provide formal certification and qualification reports.
