Noise Diodes
Noisecom's noise diodes are the fundamental building blocks for analogue noise systems.
With frequency rages from 0.1Hz to 40GHz, each product is sorted for performance characteristics that enhance their broadband noise output and provide a flat spectral response.
All Noisecom noise diodes can deliver symmetrical white Gaussian noise and flat output power versus frequency *.
* Flatness and output power are dependent upon peripheral circuit characteristics
Noise Sources - Amplified Noise Modules
The NC1000 Series amplified noise modules produce AWGN as high as +13 dBm, and have bandwidths up to 10 GHz.
The high power modules are designed to test noise immunity for Cable TV equipment, secure communication channels, and military jamming systems. The lower power modules, <= 0 dBm, are random jitter sources for many applications including, PCI express, Infiniband, and 10 GigE. The Bandwidth, output power, and flatness can be modified for specific applications. A newly developed TTL controlled attenuation feature is also available.

Noise Sources - Broadband Amplified Noise Modules
The NC2000 Series amplified noise modules are an excellent choice for high-level noise modules mounted on a circuit board. The NC2000 Series modules are housed in 24, or14-pin dual-inline packages.
The NC4000 series modules are housed in a 40-pin module that cover similar noise bands to the NC2000, but have higher crest factor, and 60 dB of TTL controlled attenuation. Modified BW, output power, and flatness specifications are available for these modules. Please consult Noisecom for availability, and appropriate package style. Applications / Features
- Dither circuitry for A/D converters
- Communications jamming
- PCI express jitter applications
- Built-in test equipment (BITE)

Noise Sources - BITE Modules
The NC500 (through-hole) and 500SM (surface mount) Series noise modules are an economical solution for built-in test requirements. They contain complete bias circuits and require no external components.
Some models contain additional gain stages for high power ENR output (51 dB). The surface mount package is suitable for mounting on micro strip. The modules have extremely flat output power versus frequency characteristic's that are insensitive to temperature and voltage variations. Applications / Features

Calibrated Noise Sources
Noise Com's NC346 Series is designed for precision noise figure measurement applications. The VSWR has been improved, reducing multiple reflections of the test signals and significantly increasing the measurement accuracy of most noise figure set-ups. The NC346 Series noise sources have broadband coverage and extremely good temperature and voltage stability, for the finest noise figure meter-compatible laboratory standards.
Outputs of 6, 15.5 and 22 dB ENR are available, allowing the units to accurately Measure noise figures up to 20, 30 and 36 dB respectively. Each NC346 is packaged in an attractive wooden box for maximum protection during shipment. The return loss of the noise sources is measured in both the on and off states and is included in the calibration report provided with each noise source up to 40 GHz. Each noise source is also supplied with calibration data traceable to NIST.
