Double Balanced Mixers

Mixer Package F1 The J Series of Double Balanced Mixers operate from 10MHz to 26.0GHz, with the following base features;
  • Multi-Octave Bandwidth
  • Broad Frequency: Input and Output
  • Wide DC to IF Frequency Response

Diode Limiters

Eclipse microwave, inc offers two basic limiter designs, EPL Series and ESL Series. These Limiters are passive and broadband devices mainly used for receiver protection, input limiting, and levelling circuit to eliminate high RF spike levels. The limiters are constructed in hermetic modules. Flat rectangular modules are used in stripline applications while the cylindrical version accommodates SMA coaxial connectors. Other RF coaxial connectors are available as specials.

Limiter applications include protection of tunnel diode amplifiers, transistors and GaAs FET amplifiers, mixers, and detectors in ECM, communication, and radar equipment. A limiter at the input of an amplifier can keep the amplifier from being driven into overdrive. Thus, the unwanted harmonics and slow recovery times are eliminated.

Pin-Pin Limiters (passive)

Limiters-package-A The Eclipse EPL series of Passive Pin-Pin Diode Limiters operate from 500MHz to 18.0GHz, with the following base features;
  • Power Handling: 1 Watt CW and 100 Watts Peak (1 μsec Pulse Width, 0.1% Duty Cycle, Derated to 20% @ +125°C.)
  • Internal DC Return
  • Fast Recovery Time (10 to 20 nsec Typ.)
  • Limiting Threshold above +9 dBm Typ.
  • Shock: 50G, 11 msec
  • Vibration: 20G, 100 to 2000 Hz

Pin-Schottky Limiters (active)

Limiters Package B The Eclipse ESL Series of Active Pin-Schottky Diode Limiters operate from 500MHz to 18.0GHz, with the following base features;
  • Power Handling: 1 Watt CW and 100 Watts Peak (1 μsec Pulse Width, 0.1% Duty Cycle, Derated to 20% @ +125°C.)
  • Internal DC Block
  • 200 μsec Recovery Time
  • Limiting Threshold above +6 dBm Typ.
  • Shock: 50G, 11 msec
  • Vibration: 20G, 100 to 2000 Hz
